First Focus Campaign for Children is urging Democratic lawmakers to put children first as they develop the party’s health care agenda for the 120th Congress and to specifically address their unique health care needs.

Any new agenda should give explicit, direct consideration to the unique challenges of children’s health coverage as a distinct priority, the Campaign wrote in letters to Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden and to Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Terri Sewell, who co-chair the House Cost of Living Healthcare Working Group. The letters also urge the lawmakers to commit to universal coverage for all children by building on the success of Medicaid, possibly by supporting the MediKids program proposed by Sen. Andy Kim, and to promote other common sense reforms. Read the letters at the links below.
