Jessica Troe

Jessica Troe is the Senior Director of Budget and Data Analytics at First Focus on Children where she supports the production of the signature Children’s Budget Book. She also works across all policy areas to use and elevate data that allows the organization to hone in and highlight critical issues facing children and families.

Prior to joining First Focus, Jessica was a Senior Policy Associate at J-PAL North America, a research lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she worked with state and local governments on developing and implementing randomized evaluations aimed at alleviating poverty. She previously worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and the Center for American Progress on child care affordability and quality.

Jessica holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and a B.A. in Political Science from Boston University.
