First Focus lead a broad national coalition of over 1,500 public health, disability, education, hospital, organized labor, health care providers, in support of the “Protecting the Medicaid Safety Net Act of 2008” (H.R. 5613). The coalition expressed in this letter that they support the legislation placing a temporary one-year moratorium on seven Medicaid regulations that would make major cuts to the Medicaid program over the next five years.
