About 300,000 Arizona children are uninsured today because of the 2010 freeze on KidsCare, the state’s health insurance program for kids in low-income families. Because of the freeze, the Grand Canyon State has the third highest rate of uninsured children in the country. The good news is that it wouldn’t cost the state anything to provide these kids with high-quality coverage.
The bad news is Arizona Senate Majority Leader Andy Biggs is turning his back on the state’s kids by blocking a House-passed bill to unfreeze KidsCare. Will you reach out to him and let him know that you DO support KidsCare?
