Take Action

More than 53 million of our children eat meals at school. For many of them, their school lunch and/or breakfast is half of their daily calories. Allowing schools to serve pizza every day, sugary drinks, and unhealthy snacks in vending machines hurts children who rely on these meals to stay healthy and active.

Urge your Congressional leaders to maintain nutrition standards in the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act so that children have access to healthy meals in schools. It helps if you edit the suggested letter to tell your story and what the nutrition standards mean to your family.
